Next Step Realtys Co-owner, and W Home Group team leader, Kelly Schuit is featured on this months cover of Baltimore Real Producers and discusses the importance of collaboration over competition in the real estate industry. Kelly discusses how her scrappy mindset coupled with a positive attitude has led her to continue growing as an individual and as a leader in a demanding field.
Prior to her career in real estate, Kelly gained 12 years of experience within the advertising world. She quickly grew in ranks; however, had a love for home renovations which kept her passions focused on gaining a real estate license. Kelly explains that switching her career path was a difficult decision to make, but once she did she met her future co-owner, James Weiskerger, and the whirlwind of innovation began.
The first month Kelly became an agent she had four closings, and sold a total of $14 million dollars within that year. After speaking with her co-partner, James Weiskerger, they discovered a shared vision of, going further, faster; and setting a bigger table. Since the dynamic duo joined forces to lead Next Step Realty & The W Home Group, their company has grown over 200 percent.
At the core of their success is the idea of collaboration and believing, one persons success is everybodys success. Kelly is involved in over 150 transactions a year, but finds a greater love for helping other agents within their company reach their goals. Next Step Realty is fortunate to have two fearless leaders devote their time and success to fostering the collaborative culture that is key to their organization.
Kelly expresses gratitude to her husband Mark for all his encouragement, love for her two daughters Scarlett and Chloe, and stresses the importance of being surrounded by caring and supportive family and agents.
